Recent engagements

AI Audit

AI Readiness Audit

A 166-person ecological consultancy needed an independent view of AI readiness before committing to any investment. A four-week audit delivered:

  • Nine leadership interviews and a staff survey
  • Assessment across five dimensions: leadership, culture, data, technology, process
  • Prioritised AI opportunities with a phased implementation roadmap
  • Draft AI policy recommendations and a 15-page final report

The client had a clear starting point within a month of engaging.

Copilot Training

Copilot Training Programme

A 150-person environmental consultancy had Microsoft Copilot access but patchy, unstructured use across five offices.

NatureAI produced ten branded training videos built around their actual workflows, delivered within eight weeks.

Staff had a self-paced programme ready to deploy immediately, built around their existing Microsoft 365 environment.

Training

Intro to AI Webinar

A multi-disciplinary ecological consultancy wanted a practical introduction to AI for their whole team across three offices.

The live 90-minute session covered fundamentals, live tool demonstration, ethics, data privacy, and sector-specific Q&A.

Staff left with a clear picture of what AI was and specific tools to try immediately, with no prior AI experience required.

AI Policy

AI Starter Policy

A returning client needed clear, practical guidance as staff began using AI tools with no formal rules. NatureAI developed a tailored usage policy covering:

  • Approved tools and guidance, with a data-handling comparison
  • Data classification rules covering what can and cannot go into AI tools
  • Human oversight, transparency and incident response guidance
  • A staff quick-reference guide and tool assessment checklist

The client had a ready-to-use starter policy within two days, developed from a 15-question form tailored to ecological consultants.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does NatureAI Solutions do?
NatureAI Solutions is an AI consultancy specialising in ecological and environmental organisations. I help clients across the UK and Australia develop a clear, practical approach to AI: what to adopt, how to govern it, and where to start. This includes AI audits, opportunity mapping, policy and governance support, training, and ongoing strategic advice.
Who do you work with?
Primarily ecological consultancies and environmental consultancies across the UK and Australia, typically with 5 to 200 staff. Most clients are beginning to structure their AI adoption or looking to move beyond ad hoc tool use into something more deliberate and strategic.
Where are you based, and how does working across time zones work?
NatureAI Solutions is based in Adelaide, Australia, and works extensively with UK organisations. Most services are delivered remotely and asynchronously, so working across time zones is rarely a barrier. Calls are arranged by appointment, and timelines for each piece of work are agreed in advance.
What services do you offer?
Four areas: AI training and workshops, from introductory webinars through to structured programmes; AI audits and opportunity mapping; AI policy and governance, from a starter usage policy through to a comprehensive governance framework; and ongoing advisory support for organisations that want strategic input on a continuing basis.
Is AI safe to use with sensitive ecological data?
Yes, with the right setup. I advise clients on which tools and configurations are appropriate for their data, including clear guidance on what should and should not be shared with AI systems: client project data, personal data, and protected species and location records all need explicit rules.
How much does a project cost?
The AI Starter Policy is from £295. Introductory webinars start from around £350. Hands-on workshops run from £800 to £1,200 per session. AI audits range from £3,000 to £4,500, and governance frameworks from £1,500 to £7,000 depending on depth. Book a free discovery call for a clear indication of costs for your specific needs.
Do you offer AI training for teams with no prior AI experience?
Yes. Training is available remotely via Teams, from a one-hour AI Fundamentals webinar to structured multi-session programmes. All sessions are designed for environmental professionals, not technical audiences, and are practical from the first session.
How long does an AI audit take?
An AI audit runs over 3 to 4 weeks. It includes stakeholder interviews, a staff questionnaire, and a review of your existing systems and workflows. The output is a 10 to 15 page written report with prioritised use cases and draft AI policy recommendations. Scope and timeline are confirmed before the project begins.
Will AI replace jobs in the environmental sector?
AI can support environmental professionals, but it cannot replace ecological judgement, field experience, client relationships, or professional accountability. Used well, it helps people spend less time on repetitive tasks and more time on work that needs their expertise.
Who is behind NatureAI Solutions?
NatureAI Solutions was founded by Dr Lucy Lush, a nature conservation scientist and wildlife ecologist with over 15 years of experience. Lucy holds a PhD in Biological Sciences (Wildlife Ecology), an MSc in Conservation Biology and an MSc in AI and Data Analytics.
